The ask in Redmond was refreshingly practical: a beautiful pool that basically runs itself. Two working parents, three kids, and zero appetite for a weekend spent on chemistry. So we engineered for ease from the ground up.
Everything is automated. A hidden auto-cover seals the pool in under a minute — cutting heat loss, evaporation and debris — and the whole system runs from a phone: temperature, lights, the spa, the works. The family sets it and forgets it.
Aesthetically it is all clean lines. A rectangular 36-foot pool with a flush spa tucked into one corner, a sharp all-tile perimeter, and a sawn-concrete deck that matches the modern architecture of the house. No fussy curves, nothing to date it.
Underneath the simple look is serious equipment — a variable-speed pump, high-efficiency heater and oversized filtration sized for heavy family use. It is the kind of build that looks effortless precisely because we sweated the mechanical details you never see.
